This dark corner of the web chronicles my digital adventures. The photoblog was started in early 2006 initially as motivation to get out and about with a camera and, in doing so, learn how to create better photographs. The site is updated with new images a few times a week.

I am based in Limerick, Ireland and most images posted are from the south west of Ireland, but images from other parts of the country (and world) do make an appearence from time to time.

What is a Photoblog?
A photoblog is a photographic web log, a graphic journal of events through the lens of a camera.

Originals
All images posted here have been post-processed to varying degrees in order to better present my vision of the scene when captured. To illustrate the post-production process I have included the original file from the camera for all shots posted. To see the original, simply roll your mouse over the "original" link at the top of every image.

Equipment
All new images posted are photographed using a Canon 400D and (most likely) a 17-85mm 4.5/5.6 IS lens. All images posted before the 10th of March 2007 were taken with a Canon PowerShot S2 IS. New equipment includes a 50mm f1.8 and an R72 infrared filter.
