The D Festival, which celebrates 10 years of Dolans, took place over the weekend as part of Riverfest. Unfortunately Riverfest has gone downhill over the last few years so it was just as well Dolans had some initiative to create an event capable of attracting visitors from outside the city. Gone are the Shannonigans, street entertainment and fireworks of previous years and we're left with, well, very little. It's worrying when a tug-of-war is a main event. While the BBQ and currach racing compe titions were entertaining we need a bit more if we want to showcase the city. For a more thorough rant check out the
